1) Make a backup of your device in iTunes. You can do this by right clicking on your device name and choosing “Back Up”.
2 )Next, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings. Clearing the whole thing will make the process a lot less complicated.
3) After this you open up Absinthe while connected to your computer via USB. Click “jailbreak” and wait. This might take a bit.
4) Finally, restore your backup from iTunes. That’s it, you are now jailbroken.
If you are already jailbroken on 5.1.1 and just want to go tetherless? Search for and install “Rocky Racoon 5.1.1 Untether” from Cydia.
